My name is Priyamvada but most of
the people I know have forgotten it and I am mostly known as Priya
After years of buying (read
hoarding) art and craft supplies and seeing them longingly almost each day I finally
decided to take charge of things and feathers n ferns was born. Now I happily
use my art and craft stash and create all sort of beautiful things. Not confining
myself to one form of art (perhaps I get bored too quickly), I enjoy decoupage,
all forms of paper art, card and junk journal creation and getting my hands
dirty with acrylic paintings. I have never been so happy and content and am curious
to see where the wind takes me.
Apart from creating things, I love books, history, nature and all things vintage.

Professionally, I did PhD wherein I synthesized some anti-cancer molecules and presently a researcher working in drug delivery for cancer therapeutics. My
husband jokes that I have an artist’s soul in the body of a scientist. Born and raised in India, I live
in Johannesburg, South Africa with my husband and our three-year-old daughter.
